Thomson Aviation Agriculture is a business in Griffith NSW that has been operating for 30+ years. We conduct aerial application on crops all over the Riverina but mainly based out of Griffith and Hillston.
Due to our large area of operation we often need trucks, vehicles, cargo and chemical to be moved around our different bases and airstrips.
The role
We are seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our team in Griffth, NSW on a full-time basis. As a Truck Driver, your everyday responsibilities will include (but are not limited) to the following:
1 Transporting trucks and operational equipment between company sites
2 Coordinating with crew members regarding vehicle movements, scheduling, and priorities
3 Adhering to workplace health and safety requirements during loading, transport, and unloading activities
4 Assessing load weights and distribution to ensure compliance with legal limits and safe vehicle operation
5 Completing regular vehicle checks to confirm mechanical condition and road safety
6 Securing cargo appropriately, including covering loads to reduce risk of damage or loss
Requirements for the candidate
1 Hold the relevant qualifications (Certificate II or higher); or have at least one (1) year of relevant full-time work experience
2 An Australian HR Driver Licence
3 Transport and Storage of Chemicals qualification (AHCCHM304)
4 Experience operating manual, automatic, and synchro gearboxes
5 Basic understanding of truck maintenance
What we are offering
This is a full-time position offering a generous salary between $70,000 – $80,000 plus superannuation to the right candidate (depending on experience).
